StarSkaters
and CompetitiveSkaters develop figure skating skills in four
areas – Skating Skills, Ice Dance, Free Skate, and
Interpretive. Skaters
are taught in a group and/or private lesson format by a Skate
Canada NCCP Certified Professional Coach.
Figure
skating offers skaters the opportunity to take tests in a
nationally standardized testing system. Skaters also have the
opportunity to enter a variety of competitions from the
regional level to the national and international level. Skaters compete in singles,
pairs, dance and synchronized skating.
The Ice
Palace Figure Skating Club offers a unique all-in-one
program. We provide
specialized training “packages” that include a variety of
on-ice and off-ice sessions.
Ballet, Jazz, Fitness, Off-ice Jump, Stroking and Edge
classes complement our on-ice sessions. These all-encompassing
packages offer our skaters many scheduling options and
substantial cost savings while ensuring they develop a
combination of athleticism and artistry.
It's
more than just skating!
Skaters enrolled in our figure skating programs learn a
variety of life skills in their pursuit of personal
excellence. We believe
that the skills that lead to excellence on the ice are the same
life skills that lead to excellence off the ice… goal setting,
planning, self-discipline, focus, time management, teamwork,
problem-solving and of course HARD WORK!!!
